Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki was an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press Secretary between 2021 and 2022. As a member in the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy communications director(2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 as well as White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was an CNN political contributor from 2017 to 2020. Psaki began her career in the 2001 re-election campaigns in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki was later named the press secretary's assistant in John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to political communication, serving as the press secretary of President Obama’s 2012 election campaign. [20] Psaki was fired as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State on February 11 2013. Her appointment in the Department of State fueled speculation that she could replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House on May 30 the 30th of May, 2014, it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was named Communications Director at the White House and continued to perform this role until the end in 2015.
