Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19th, 1965. She is an American actress and producer. She is most famous for her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The series ended following its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and says she is a member of Passover seders.
